Obituary for Berniece M. Lunde
Berniece M. Lunde, age 98, of Collinsville, Illinois, born December 24, 1917, in Caseyville, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mrs. Lunde was a seamstress at Martha Manning Dress Factory in Collinsville. She was an active, lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by by her husband, Ervin Lunde, parents, Alexander D. and Mary A. (nee Seipp) Haig, one brother, Irvin Haig and six sisters, Euphemia Haig, Inez Kuhlmann, Iva Mowe, Elvera Pazdera, Margaret Haig and her identical twin, Verniece Cox.
Surviving are two sisters, Audrey LaSurs of Collinsville, IL and Marilyn (Robert) Bussen of St. Cloud, FL. Also surviving are many step children, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews.
Memorials are requested to Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City, Iowa.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Per Berniece's wishes, her body was donated to Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri.
