Blanche Louise VanDyke, nee Witschie, age 90, of Collinsville, born May 10, 1923, in Vandalia, Illinois, passed away October 22, 2013 at the Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey VanDyke, her daughter Kim Hartman, her son-in-law Don Hodges and sisters-in-law, Mary Witschie and Ruth VanDyke, and her parents John and Louisa, nee Jotte, Witschie, Sr. Surviving are her son, Van VanDyke of San Tan Valley, Arizona, her daughter, Dede Hodges of Troy, Illinois, grandchildren, Bill (Kelly) Hartman, George (Sheila) VanDyke, Geoff VanDyke, Brandy (Tami) Hodges, and Jamie VanDyke; five great-grandchildren, a brother, John Witschie, Jr. of Deltona, Florida, brother-in-law, Rod VanDyke of Collinsville, Illinois and many nieces and nephews. Memorial donations are suggested to the Billhartz Animal Shelter, 119 United Drive, Collinsville, IL. 62234, or to the Hitz Memorial Home, 201 Belle Street, Alhambra, IL. 62001. Funeral Services will be private with burial at St. John's Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
