Obituary for Carl R. Robinson
Carl R. (Robbie) Robinson, age 78, of Troy, IL, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL surrounded by his family.
He was born September 26 1947 in Oxford, Mississippi to the late George H. (Pidge) and Mary M. (nee Macare) Robinson. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his long-time special friend, Joyce McNeill.
Carl was a proud graduate of Collinsville High School Class of 1965. He served in the U. S. Navy. He was an avid golfer and a member of the American Legion.
He retired from Mercantile Bank.
He is survived by his sister, Julie (Mel) Pamatot of Maryville, IL.
Memorials are requested to Collinsville American Legion Post #365 or New Baden American Legion Post #321.
Per his request there will be no formal services. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the Collinsville American Legion. A private Inurnment will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
