Obituary for Dorothy J. Wilshire
Dorothy J. "Nean" Wilshire, nee Reeb, age 83, formerly of Collinsville, IL, born March 4, 1930 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away, Monday, September 23, 2013 at Caseyville Nursing and Rehab Center. Mrs. Wilshire graduated from St. Teresa Academy, and worked as the church secretary at S. S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church for 25 years. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the Round Robin Pinochle Club at church. She belonged to the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women (DCCW) and Daughters of Isabella. She was a dedicated mother to her six sons, serving many years as the den mother of Scout Pack 83. She lover her family, her church, and her God. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Joseph and Florence, nee Dickhans, Reeb, husband, Robert J. Wilshire, and three sisters. Surviving are her six sons, John J. Wilshire, of Pontiac, MO, James E. (Linda) Wilshire of Collinsville, IL, Jerome A. (Jeanie) Wilshire of Collinsville, IL, Jeffrey L. (Kathleen) Wilshire of Maryville, IL, Joseph J. (Judy) Wilshire of Waterloo, IL, and Jay P. (Christine) Wilshire of Pennsberg, PA, 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial donations are suggested to S. S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p. m., Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Allan & Ciuferi Funeral Home. Funeral: Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the S. S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church for a 10:30 a. m. Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in S. S. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in Collinsville, IL. Father John Beveridge will officiate.
