Obituary for Edward L. Cullen
Edward L. Cullen, age 86, of Collinsville, IL, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at his residence in Collinsville. He was born February 7, 1927 in East St. Louis, Illinois to the late Steven and Anne (nee Johnson) Koste Cullen. Besides his mother and father he is preceded in death by his step-father, Mac Cullen, his wife, Rosemary (nee Goble) Cullen, six brothers, Alvin, Paul, Raymond and Walter Koste and Joseph and Francis Cullen. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Rose Traiteur and Marc Goalby both of Belleville, IL, two brothers, Jerry Cullen of Edwardsville, IL and James Cullen of Texas, one sister, Joanne Rompel of Belleville, IL, 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was a retired federal employee from the St. Louis Arch. Ed was a World War II Army veteran, a member of S. S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville and Knights of Columbus Council 1712 in Collinsville. Memorials are requested to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Visitation: Friday, May 24, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p. m. at the Allan & Ciuferi Funeral Home. Funeral Mass: Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 10:00 a. m. at the S. S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville. Father John Beveridge will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
