Obituary for Faye Adams Ball
Faye Adams Ball, age 95, of Troy, IL, passed away, Monday, October 22, 2012 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL. Faye was born August 8, 1917 to the late Ross and Emma (nee Owens) Adams in Effingham, IL. She married Jay Ball on October 8, 1939 and lived most of her adult life in Collinsville, IL. He preceded her in death on February 1, 1979. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Sue Ball, who passed away May 28, 1953. She is survived by her daughter, Jayne Ball-Saret and husband, Mitch of Charleston, IL, her son, Joe Ball and his wife, Crystal of Collinsville, IL, and one grandson, Michael Ball of Collinsville, IL. Faye was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church in Collinsville, Dorcas Circle and Home Extension. Visitation will be from 9:00 until 10:30 a. m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the Allan & Ciuferi Funeral Home. A private family funeral will be held at Oakridge Cemetery in Effingham, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to Support Dogs, Inc., 11645 Lilburn Park Road, St. Louis, MO 63146/ Faye loved fishing, crafts, playing cards, dominoes, her family and friends. She was a true survivor whose time had come. Special thanks to caregivers, Melody, Kristi, Brandie, VITAS Hospice and the staff at The Fountains in Troy.
