Obituary for Kenneth (Ken) L. Kinder

Kenneth (Ken) L. Kinder, age 96, of Collinsville, IL, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 11:14 am at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.


He was born March 12, 1927 in Bragg City, MO to the late Everett and Sylvia (nee Maddox) Kinder. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Imogene (nee Baily) Kinder, who passed away October 18, 2022, 6 brothers and 3 sisters.


Ken was in the U. S. Air Force serving his country in WWII. He was a carpenter for 50 years, retiring from St. Louis Children’s Hospital – maintenance department in 1992. He was a long-time member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in St. Louis, MO.


He is survived by one brother, Jerry G. Kinder of Collinsville, IL.


Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.


Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 10:30 to 11:00 am at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in St. Louis, MO. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am at the Church with Bishop Stephen Willeford officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
