Lt. Jr. Grade Zachary (Zak) A. Kennedy, age 25, of Orange Park, FL, passed away January 1, 2023 in Jacksonville, FL.
Zak was born February 25, 1997 in Norfolk, VA to Lawrence H. Kennedy and the late Randa G. (nee Hyde) Kennedy.
He was a Naval Academy Graduate - Class of 2019. Received his Wings of Gold 1 April 2022 which designated him a Naval Aviator, flying the P-8 Poseidon. He was most recently stationed at NAS Jacksonville, FL.
Surviving are his father; Lawrence H. Kennedy of Edwardsville, IL, a brother; Nicholas J. Kennedy of Monterey, CA, sister; Bella Kennedy of Edwardsville, IL, girlfriend; Megan Croizer of Palm Coast, FL, and step-mother; Jana M. Rossetto of Crofton, MD.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 20, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at S. S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 207 Vandalia, Collinsville, IL.
Visitation will also be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at the church.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at S. S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, IL with Father John Beveridge officiating.
Burial with military honors will follow at S. S. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville, IL
