Obituary for Mary Agnes Boehne
Mary Agnes Boehne, age 85, of Glen Carbon, formerly of Collinsville, IL, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice Home in Edwardsville. She was born February 5, 1929 in East St. Louis, IL to the late John E. and Agnes C. (nee Walsh) Cusack. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Orville H. Boehne. She is survived by one son, Tim (Mary) Boehne of Collinsville, IL, one daughter, Ann (Larry) Powell of Maryville, IL, two sisters, Kay Smallridge of Rochester, NY, and Pat Skinner of Fairview Heights, IL, three grandchildren, Caitlin, Grant and Sean Boehne, as well as nieces, nephews and other family and friends. The family is especially grateful to the staff at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice Home. Mary Agnes was a long time member of S. S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville. She treasured many friendships developed during her time at Edgemont Bank, the YMCA and as a Project Linus volunteer. She enjoyed playing bridge and will be remembered for her kind heart. Memorials may be made to S. S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church or Hospice of Southern Illinois. A Memorial Mass will be held at S. S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 10:30 a. m. Father John Beveridge will officiate.
