Obituary for Mary E. Eads
Mary E. (Pate) Eads, age 93, of Collinsville, IL, born February 10, 1929 in Aberdeen, Mississippi, passed away in her home on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Daughter of Paul and Bessie (nee Nash) Pate and step-father, Lonnie Sommers.
She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Leasburg, MO. Mary worked as a seamstress for many years and retired from Melbourne Manufacturing in St. Louis, MO.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Chester A. Eads, Jr., five brothers and three sisters.
Mary is survived by her husband of 76 years, Chester A. Eads, Sr. of Collinsville, IL, two sons, Larry (Dawn) Eads of Collinsville, IL and Roger Eads of Fairview Heights, IL., a daughter, Linda (Don) Imhof of St. Louis, MO, one sister, Pearl Vogelsang of St. Louis, MO, 24 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Donor’s choice.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the Allan & Ciuferi Funeral Home, 314 W. Main Street, Collinsville, IL.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Green-Hill Cemetery, Piedmont, MO. Brother Mike Warren will officiate.
