Obituary for Richard D. "Peach" Bequette
Richard D. "Peach" Bequette, age 66, of Troy, IL, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 at his residence. He was born August 1, 1949 in Granite City, IL to the late Michael S. and Cleda M. (nee Wilson) Bequette. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by four brothers, Sidney M., William G., Leroy and Jimmy Bequette. Peach retired in 2006 as Township Engineer from the Madison County Highway Department. He is survived by one nephew, William (Melissa) Bequette of Bunker Hill, IL, three nieces, Sheila (David) Willis of Troy, IL, Michelle (Tim) Pickel of Smyrna, TN and Melissa (Keith) Neal of Murfreesboro, TN, and a sister-in-law, Carol Bequette of Troy, IL. Also surviving are one great nephew, Thomas VanMol and five great nieces, Amanda Mackey, Elissa Dearstone, Anna and Jenna Bequette and Katelyn Pickel. Memorials may be made to the family for a bench in his memory at Troy Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 p. m. at the Allan & Ciuferi Funeral Home in Collinsville, IL A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
