Obituary for Stanley Wayne "Red" Bula
Stanley Wayne "Red" Bula, age 69, of Collinsville, IL, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL surrounded by his family. He was born July 17, 1944 in Edinburgh, Indiana to the late Elmer S. and Ruth H. (nee Coy) Bula. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Thad A. Bula and a sister, Janet L. Zeigler. Red was a truck driver for over 43 years. This was an occupation he thoroughly enjoyed and was very proud of both his cross country and local trips. He retired in 2005 and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed cooking, collecting antique truck and tractors and rescuing animals. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Linda L. (nee Paul) Bula of Collinsville, IL, one son, David Bula of Columbus, Indiana, two daughters, Shameem (Tom) Coppotelli of Collinsville, IL and Carol (Keith) England of Columbus, Indiana. Also surviving is one sister, Paula Bula of Indianapolis, Indiana and 5 grandchildren, Scout and Steele Clement of Collinsville, IL, Billy & Jerica England and Destiny Bula, all of Columbus, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Billhartz Animal Shelter or the Granite City APA. A private celebration of Stanley's life will be held at a later date.
