Obituary for Verlie L. Pompell
Verlie L. Pompell, age 67, of Collinsville, IL, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at her residence. She was born September 22, 1945 in Iola, KS, to Gerald Delong of Enfield, IL and Lillie Mae (nee Scovill) Delong of McLeansboro, IL. Besides her parents she is survived by three sons, Gerald Pompell of Pontiac, IL, Robert (Patti) Pompell of Collinsville, IL and Thomas (Lesalene) Pompell of Brookville, IN. Also surviving are four brothers, Terry Delong of Louisville, KY, Gary (Georgia) Delong of Marengo, IL, Darrell (Tammy) Delong of Collinsville, IL and Danny (Kay) Delong of McLeansboro, IL, four sisters, Beverly Parker of Sparta, IL, Linda Bravard of McLeansboro, IL, Shirley (JC) Jackson of Poole, KY and Carol (Jay) Grafton of Mt. Vernon, IL. She is also survived by six grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one sister, Penny Delong. She was a homemaker. Memorials are requested to the family. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 p. m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the Allan & Ciuferi Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p. m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the funeral home with Rev. Charles Scovill officiating. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Townsend Cemetery in Dixon, KY.
