Joe D. Daniel, Sr., age 86, of Collinsville, IL, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at his residence. He was born November 22, 1934 in Maryville, IL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bert C. and Edna (nee Johnson) Daniel. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. (nee George) Daniel, one brother, John V. Daniel, four sisters, Mary Keel, Betty Hall, Dorothy Bullard and JoAnn Daniel and two granddaughters, JoAnna Nix and Christine Daniel.
Joe was a sheet metal worker out of Local #268 in Caseyville, IL, along with owning many different business’ and buildings in Collinsville. He was known as the Ambassador of good will. He also attended Bethel Baptist Church in Caseyville, IL.
Surviving are his son, Joe (Sandra) Daniel, Jr. of Collinsville, IL, daughter, Linda (Gary) McGill of Mayfield, KY, one sister, Wanda Newberry of Carlisle, TN, 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorials in Joe’s honor may be made to Bethel Baptist Church in Caseyville and will be accepted at the funeral home.
