Obituary for Kenneth C. Thompson
Kenneth C. Thompson, 84, formerly of Highland, IL, passed away at 5:50 am on Monday March 13, 2023, at the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke.
He was born on April 10, 1938, in Collinsville, IL to Talmage and Margaret Davis Thompson. He married Bernadette Jerasehn on August 1, 1987. She passed away September 6, 2017.
Surviving are his three sons, Scott (Gena) Thompson of Eureka, IL; Doug Thompson of Edwardsville, IL; Jeff (Suzy) Thompson of Roanoke; IL; five grandsons, Josh Thompson; Jake Thompson; Ryland Thompson; Renner Thompson; Wyeth Thompson; one granddaughter, Jacey Hinch; and two great grandson Levi Waller and Brantley Hinch.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Elise Thompson.
A veteran, Ken served his country in the Air Force Reserves from 1960-1965 attaining the rank of Staff Sargent.
Ken worked for 30 years for Farmers Insurance Group, retiring in 1998 as district manager.
Ken also farmed the family farm for many years and loved being a farmer. He also enjoyed playing golf.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 18th at Allan & Ciuferi Funeral Home in Collinsville, IL. Visitation will be from 10-11 am prior to the services at the funeral home. Pastor Zachary Lysdahl will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Collinsville.
